2nd cousins is a very racist establishment. My husband and I were ordered to take off our coats and take them out to our cars, but the whole bar was filled with patrons who had their coats on. We were bombarded with 5 security guards, then we were demanded to tuck our jewelry in. From my understanding, there were no dress codes. We had just gotten off of work and wanted a few drinks - very poor hospitality. We were treated as thugs, and I could not help but think that race played an important factor. The couple that we met there had their coats on and were there well over an hour but were not asked???

This place and Park Lanes are very racist. I am white and I over-heard Second Cousins telling bouncers that they have too many blacks in here. Park Lanes, while I use to go there, overheard owner telling DJ to switch to country until all the "Canadians" leave. People were dancing all night and when the dj switched, people were asking for songs and he kept saying "I thought I would switch it up and do some country for a while." Of course 80% of the people left including the white and the blacks aka "Canadians." I also seen at both places blacks being asked to not wear baggy pants, jewlery etc.. and nothing said to white people.
