07/20/2010 - Orianthi Cancels
Rockford, Ill. - On the Waterfront, Inc. announced today that the female singer-songwriter and guitarist, Orianthi, has canceled her appearance on the second half of Adam Lambert's Glam Nation Tour which will come to Rockford Saturday, September 4, 2010. On the Waterfront has replaced her performance with the 2009 American Idol singer Allison Iraheta.
The 18 year old Iraheta was one of the final four on season 8 of the cutthroat singing competition American Idol. The maturity in her singing, well beyond her young age, is what set her apart in the competition. Because of this, the teenager was a favorite of all of three judges from the beginning, and has now created a contemporary pop/rock tour with some of the industries top singers, songwriters and producers. That list includes Max Martin, whose credits include hits for Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Katy Perry and many others. Another producer of her album is Howard Benson who has worked with Chris Cornell, Daughtry and My Chemical Romance. Then there's American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, who has produced hits for many top artists including Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani.
Reserved seats to see Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert are sold out. Lawn access to the show is FREE with a festival pass which can be purchased at www.onthewaterfront.com for only $15 for all three days. VIP club upgrade options are available.
