Alan Jackson, the most popular male country singer of the 1990s, after Garth Brooks, returns to the MetroCentre at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, after 10 years and for the fifth time.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at 815-968-5222, MetroCentre.com and the MetroCentre box office at 300 Elm St., Rockford. They cost $79.50 and $49.50.
Jackson performed at the MetroCentre in 1992, 1995, 1996 and 2000. He has had 20 No. 1 hits, including "Don't Rock the Jukebox" in 1991 and "Country Boy" in 2008, as well as 20 more Top Ten hits, all on country music charts. His "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" in 2003 hit No. 17 on The Billboard Hot 100.
