Description:

The Rockford Rotary Club, now in its tenth decade of service to the community, is the oldest Rotary Club in the northern Illinois area.

Commonly known as the "Downtown" Rotary, its program meetings occur from September through June each Thursday Noon at Memorial Hall 211 N. Main St. Informal "round table" meetings are held in July and August at the same location. The club was chartered in 1916 on a 10 month basis and remains one of the few Rotary Clubs in the world to retain that tradition.
