A one-of-a-kind skating experience is located at Davis Park in Rockford for individuals of all ages to enjoy. The Harris Winter Wonderland - an Outdoor Skating Experience opens November 25th, 2011.

The Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment Board (RAVE) had a vision to bring an outdoor skating experience to Davis Park and the Rockford Park District, Harris, Northwestern Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council, and Project First Rate were eager to partner with RAVE and SMG to bring this dream to life. Two Rockford-area companies, Professional Graphics Inc. and Lonnies CarpetMax, have joined as participating partners as well.

The Harris Winter Wonderland features a 12,000-square-foot synthetic ice rink that includes a unique skating trail in Davis Park. The venue has concession stands available and a heated seating area for spectators in the Harris Chalet, the second floor of the Davis Park building. The Harris Chalet is also be available for private parties.
