Sweet Lucy was started up in the fall of 2009. Kim and Ruth came from a band called SLATE, while Malcolm had been biding his time in a band called TDM and some acoustic projects. Tommy had been playing with Southside Shuffle, and other bands in the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin area. Melissa is the only one that hasn't been playing professionally for years, but has eased out of the karaoke scene to play in a live band.

When you make it out to a show, don't be surprised if you find yourself singing along and dancing to all of your favorite chick rock and pop songs, because we certainly will be! The majority of the members are wireless and have no fear going out into the crowd and getting on bars, tables, and chairs...or even on your lap!! A Sweet Lucy party is pure entertainment from beginning to end.
